Engagements & Compliance
1. How do engagements usually begin?
2. Do you work in sanctioned or high-risk jurisdictions?
With a confidential consultation to understand your objectives, context and constraints. If there is a fit, we provide a written scope of work with deliverables, timeline and fees before any work begins.
We screen clients, partners and engagements for sanctions and regulatory risk. We do not accept engagements that would require us to act contrary to applicable sanctions, export controls or other legal obligations.
3. Do you use armed personnel or use force?
4. Do you work with local partners?
DAG is an advisory and operational support firm. We do not deploy armed personnel. Where security personnel are involved through partners, they operate under strict use-of-force policies limited to lawful self-defence and defence of others against imminent threat of death or serious injury, consistent with the Voluntary Principles and ICoCA standards.
Yes. We work with vetted local partners and consultants across our regions of operation. All partners are subject to due diligence proportionate to the engagement and are expected to operate in line with DAG’s compliance and human rights standards.
Confidentiality & Governance
5. How do you handle confidentiality?
6. Where is your data stored and how is it protected?
We work under mutual NDAs where required. Client identities, project locations and sensitive information are handled on a need-to-know basis and are not publicly disclosed unless required by law or authorised by the client.
We handle personal data in line with applicable UK data protection law. Data is stored under our data protection and information security policies, using encrypted systems and access controls. Where we act as a processor, we do so under a written data processing agreement.
7. Do you have insurance?
Where required, we provide evidence of insurance as part of contractual due diligence. Coverage is appropriate to the nature and scale of our activities.
Pricing & Operational Support
8. How is pricing structured?
9. Do you provide 24/7 crisis support?
We agree fees in writing before work begins. Pricing depends on scope, duration and complexity. Project work is usually priced on a fixed-fee basis; ongoing advisory support may be provided on a retainer. All fees are confirmed in the written scope of work.
For clients under a retainer or crisis management agreement, we provide access to a duty contact. Contact details and response arrangements are set out in the engagement agreement.
10. Do you subcontract?
11. Which languages do you work in?
We may engage specialist subcontractors or local partners where the scope requires it. All subcontractors are subject to due diligence and are bound by equivalent confidentiality, compliance and data protection requirements.
